10 Months...

WOW...we can't be in the double-digit months already, can we?!? I know it's a cliche, but time really is flying by these days. Just a few stats:

Weight: 23lbs.
Height: 30.5 inches
Wearing 12-18 month clothing and size 3 shoes
Still on EleCare formula and SimplyThick, but hopefully not for much longer!
Almost completely off baby food
Eating 3 real meals and 3 bottles a day
Favorite Foods: chicken, turkey, spaghetti, green beans, peas, sweet potatos, crackers, bananas, pears, peaches, yogurt, oatmeal, & blueberry waffles--haven't much met a food she doesn't like except avacado
Bedtime between 7:30-8:00pm
Wakes up between 6:30-7:00am
She seems to be naturally transitioning to 1 nap a day, but still takes 2 some days...generally 1 really long nap and a 2nd much shorter "catnap"
Loves getting into EVERYTHING...especially Gretta's bed and toys.
Not cruising the furniture just yet and that is a-ok with mama and daddy for now. She gets into enough "trouble" without cruising :)
Lots of "talking" going on....dada, nana, teta (we think this is Gretta since she says the same thing every time she sees Gretta), hi
Loves to wave bye-bye to people, animals, objects, rooms, whatever...
Favorite activities: swimming, bath time, chasing Gretta, stealing Gretta's toys, getting in Gretta's bed, obviously anything Gretta-related :), swinging at the park, visiting family, waiting for Daddy to come home in the afternoon, riding in the stroller, trips to Shipley's with Daddy, going to Mother's Day Out and Sunday School

We are blessed beyond measure to have this precious baby girl in our lives and are so honored that God chose us to be Avery's parents. She is such a joy to us and our entire family!

We love you to the moon and back sweet girl!

Avery is a water baby! She LOVES bath time and always has, so I have been anxiously awaiting summer time so we could get her into the swimming pool. She LOVES it! Here are some pics of a trip to Nana & Papa's:

Fun Times with Friends

We met up with one of Avery's precious friends, Caleb, and his sweet mama, Mary, at a local park one day. After a picnic lunch, Caleb and Avery, tested out the baby swings which were a BIG hit with both babies. They also just enjoyed staring at each other and chewing on their toys! :) Thanks for a fun day Mary and Caleb....we will be having many more playdates in the future. Oh, and thanks to Mary again for taking the pictures you see below since I left my camera in the car! :)

9 Month Portraits

We took Avery to a local landmark park for her 9 month portraits...the Old Mill is a beautiful location and was used in the original Gone With the Wind movie. We met up with local photographer, Jill Brannon, and she did an awesome job with Avery's pictures. We were so pleased with how they turned out! :) Thanks Jill!
