St. Louis Trip

The last weekend in July, we made a trip to St. Louis for our good friend, Faith's, wedding.  We decided to make a long weekend out of it and get in some fun family things while we were there.  Juju and Papa made the trip with us and Avery had a blast!  We visited the zoo, the Magic House, ate some yummy food, and one of A's favorite things, stayed in a HOTEL! :) 

New Home

We looked and looked and looked at so many different homes in NWA but just couldn't find "the one" for us.  After much thought and many prayers, we decided to build the house we want instead of settling for something else and then wanting to move again in a year or two.  We found a neighborhood we really liked and have met with the builder.  We have selected a floorplan and are waiting on the construction loan to close so they can get started with the house!  It will be 3 bedroom/2.5 bath downstairs with a formal dining and office and there will be a large bonus room with a full bath upstairs.  The layout downstairs is very similar to the house we had on Hanna Lane in Little Rock (which we LOVED!)...it will be very open and spacious.  We are excited and nervous all at the same time.  :)

Swim Lessons

June 18-28, Avery had her first round of swim "lessons" at the Melvin Ford Aquatic Center in Bentonville.  It was a parent & me class, so Daddy did most of the lessons with her, but Mama did do a couple too. She was not a big fan at first, but gradually warmed up each day.  She did great!

Temporary Home

On June 13th, we moved into an apartment at The Links at Bentonville.  It's a fully furnished 2 bedroom/2 bath apartment.  We will be living here while our new home is being built in the Hearthstone subdivison in Rogers.  Avery has adjusted amazingly well to her new temporary home and to sleeping in a LARGE bed. :)  We found some vinyl wall stickers at Target and let her "decorate" her new walls with those and she LOVES them.  We also brought a lot of her toys/stuffed animals/books/etc with us so she has lots to do and play with daily.

The BIG Move

On June 8, Winter Moving & Storage showed up at our house on Hanna Lane to pack up all our belongings.  John and I basically just stayed out of the way and watched as these 3 women packed our entire 2600 square foot house in about 8 hours.  They were amazing and did a fantastic job! We spent our last night in our house that evening and the next morning, the "muscle" showed up with a large semi and loaded all the boxes and furniture.  They were done by early afternoon and we were left with an empty house, heavy hearts, and some excitement for what was to come. 

While Mama and Daddy were in Little Rock preparing to move, Avery spent several days & nights with Juju, Papa, and Sassy.  She had a BLAST and we recevied lots of texts and pictures keeping us up to date on what she was up to! :)
